Deborah KormiAbout Deborah

Deborah Ruth Aya Kormi, raised in Mitcham, south London is the founder of The 1Way Project, established in March 2010. She lives with both of parents and fourteen year old sister, Eunice. Deborah is currently in her final year in high school. Youth work and business is the career area that most interests her. She has a strong interest in working with young people in an advisory and mentoring role.

Deborah has been saved seen 2009 and since then her life has never been the same. She has a burning passion to reach the lost and to see the lost saved. She desires to see lives transformed for Jesus. Deborah ministers to all people of all ages, preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to them.

Deborah is releasing her 1st book titled “Walking” in March 2013. It is her prayer that God continues to use her as a tool to reach out to the lost and to make a difference in her generation.

The 1Way Project

The 1Way Project was founded by Deborah Kormi in March 2010. It was formerly known as El- Shaddai Cell. Young people from her community and surrounding areas would attend weekly meetings in her home discussing personal issues, school life and studying the word of God.

On the 1st of July 2011 Deborah started organizing monthly events in a hall. Since then God has been extremely faithful with His might hand backing the project. The 1Way project mainly aims at young people in communities. The aim of the project is to bring youths together by inviting guest speakers from various London boroughs such as: Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworh etc.

These guest speaker we invite are ex- gang members, ex- prisoners and ex- drug dealers whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ. They share their life experiences/testimonies to inspire these young men and women so that they also can have their lives transformed by the power of God. During the event the youths take part in singing, dancing and group discussions. In addition, UK Gospel Rappers and praise and worship teams from various churches minister at the event.

God willing, The 1Way Project: Chef Academy will commence in Summer 2013. Training young people how to prepare and cook simple healthy meals and desserts.

The 1Way project is based and themed on the Bible scriptures John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.
